Our 2024 Codeš Summer School was hosted by the Center for Molecular Bioengineering (B CUBE) at TU Dresden from August 12th to 14th, 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Luca Bertinetti, a senior scientist at B CUBE and a member of the Codeš consortium. The primary goal of the Codeš Summer School was to equip our young scientists with a solid foundation in advanced light and electron microscopy techniques, essential for their interdisciplinary research and to offer them valuable hands-on experience in applying these techniques.
This year, a total of 10 Codeš PhD students and one early PostDoc researcher from 9 different universities and research institutions participated in the Summer School, enjoying the sunny, friendly and collaborative atmosphere there. Six distinguished instructors from TU Dresden, Leipzig University, the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genomics in Dresden, the Max Planck Institute for Biology in TĆ¼bingen, and the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam delivered valuable lectures and guided the students through small-group practical sessions.
The dedicated organization team in Dresden, led by Dr. Luca Bertinetti, worked in close collaboration with the Codeš coordination office in Siegen to ensure the success of the Summer School, providing participants with a fruitful and enjoyable experience. We look forward to more such events in the future.
